As CEO Alex Chriss confirmed to CNBC, PayPal will be fully integrated into ChatGPT starting in 2026. Users will be able to shop and process payments to PayPal merchants directly through the AI assistant, without detours via apps or websites. This creates a seamless shopping experience: ChatGPT searches for products, compares prices, and handles the entire payment process via PayPal. Buyers and sellers benefit from established buyer protection and verification for both sides.

This is a completely new paradigm for online commerce," says Chriss. "Agentive AI will shape the shopping experience in the future – from product comparison to payment." For OpenAI, this step is another milestone in the commercialization of its platform. In return, PayPal gains access to over 700 million weekly ChatGPT users – a gigantic lever for future growth.

Strong Numbers, Strong Message

For the first time in the company's history, PayPal is also paying a dividend – 14 cents per share. At the same time, the annual forecast was raised: Adjusted earnings are expected to be between $5.35 and $5.39 per share.

Turnaround with a Future Bonus

With the deal with OpenAI, the company positions itself as the technological infrastructure of the upcoming AI trade. Fundamental strength, favorable valuation, and clear future potential make the stock attractive again – PayPal is back on a growth path.
