Takeaways NEW
- ADM and Alltech establish a joint venture for animal feed in North America.
- The company formation is planned for the first quarter of 2026 and includes plants in the USA and Canada.
The agricultural market is experiencing a significant restructuring: Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) and Alltech, two prominent players in the agriculture industry, have joined forces to form an animal feed joint venture in North America. This strategic alliance could bring fresh momentum to the feed industry and set new standards.
Under the agreement, Alltech's Hubbard Feeds and Masterfeeds, along with their 33 plants in the USA and Canada, are combined with 11 feed mills from ADM in the USA in this partnership. The new venture will be primarily led by Alltech, with management ensured by a board composed equally by both parties.
Interestingly, both companies will retain their individual business sectors. Alltech will continue to independently manage its Ridley Block Operations and Ridley Feed Ingredients sectors and maintain its specialized ingredients. Meanwhile, ADM focuses on further developing its premix and additive businesses. The official establishment of the company is slated for the first quarter of 2026.
