- Spotify enables integration with DJ software to improve mixing and set creation.
Spotify opens the doors to a seamless experience for DJs: The streaming giant is now directly integrating with the desktop software of renowned DJ programs like Rekordbox, Serato, and Djay. This innovation allows users to view their entire libraries and playlists within these programs, significantly easing and accelerating the creation of sets and the mixing of tracks.
In a recent blog post, Spotify emphasizes that users can now effortlessly mix songs from the service’s extensive library to customize their sets and shape moods and transitions between tracks. Access to Spotify's complete music catalog and specially curated playlists is intended to help give each set a unique, creative touch.
However, this feature is reserved for premium customers and will be available in 51 markets worldwide. Spotify has recently introduced the option for its premium users to create their own transitions between tracks, ideally complementing the new integration.
This announcement is part of a range of new features from the streaming service: Spotify now also offers support for lossless music streams and allows its free users to select and play songs directly. In addition, intelligent filters, in-app messaging, and other features have been added to further enrich the Spotify experience.
