Successful Alliance: Uzbekistan and Boeing in Focus

The recent agreement between Uzbekistan and Boeing is attracting attention: With great enthusiasm, U.S. President Donald Trump praised the groundbreaking deal for the delivery of 22 Boeing 787 Dreamliners to Uzbekistan Airways. This contract, estimated to be worth over eight billion dollars, is expected to create approximately 35,000 new jobs in the United States, according to Trump. Trump commended Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev as a reliable partner and expressed his confidence in further advancing joint projects in the future. The signing of the contract coincides with President Mirziyoyev's business visits to New York City, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. There he met, among others, with Brendan Nelson, the President of Boeing Global, to reaffirm the long-standing strategic partnership. By acquiring the Boeing Dreamliners, Uzbekistan Airways not only underscores its ambitions to modernize civil aviation but also strengthens its international connectivity. Accompanying this, President Mirziyoyev held a high-level roundtable with prominent figures from the U.S. economy, signaling further engagements in areas such as critical mineral processing, digitalization, and smart agriculture. The conference attracted significant personalities, including representatives from world-renowned companies and institutions. An enriching exchange that bolstered confidence in Uzbekistan as an attractive investment destination and culminated in the signing of several bilateral agreements. With the new agreement, Uzbekistan Airways embarks on the path to long-term fleet modernization and integration into global aviation markets. The goal is to position Tashkent as a leading international transit hub and to drive growth in tourism and other sectors.
