The world's largest Ethereum treasury continues to grow: BitMine Immersion Technologies recently purchased 179,251 Ether worth approximately $821 million and now holds a total of 2.83 million ETH - equivalent to over 2% of the total circulating supply of the cryptocurrency.
With the recent acquisitions, the company's crypto and cash reserves rise to an impressive $13.4 billion, including $456 million in cash, 192 Bitcoin, and a stake in Eightco Holdings (ORBS). BitMine is clearly ahead of competitors like SharpLink Gaming, which holds only about $3.85 billion in ETH, ranking second worldwide behind Strategy with its $80 billion in Bitcoin reserves.
CEO Thomas Lee still sees Ethereum as a core investment: "AI and crypto remain the dominant investment themes – and ETH currently offers significant upside potential.
The news also provided a tailwind on the stock market: BitMine shares rose more than 4% pre-market to about 59 USD, reaching their highest level in two weeks. The ETH price itself recently climbed nearly 13% to 4,695 USD – significantly above the average purchase price of around 4,535 USD.
