Lufthansa rejects higher contributions – Cockpit union threatens with strike

In the tariff conflict between Lufthansa and the pilots' union Cockpit, the situation is escalating further. Until September 30, a ballot on possible strikes is ongoing - the central point of contention is the company pension scheme. The union is demanding significantly higher employer contributions, but the corporation calls these demands "unfeasible" and is thus taking a confrontational course. If the ballot results in favor of industrial action, Lufthansa is already facing extensive flight cancellations in the fall.
