Crypto Market Under Pressure: Bitcoin and Altcoins with Losses

On Friday morning, the prices of major cryptocurrencies are mostly in the negative. Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, and Cardano are particularly under pressure — only Monero can make gains.

Bitcoin with Slight Weakness

As of 09:41, Bitcoin is trading at 117,010 US dollars, down 0.11 percent from the previous day (117,142 US dollars). The finanzen.net Top 10 Crypto ETP, which tracks the ten largest cryptocurrencies, also decreases by 1.2 percent.

Altcoins Predominantly in the Red Zone

Ethereum falls by 1.06 percent to 4,542 US dollars, Litecoin loses 0.66 percent to 117.48 US dollars. Bitcoin Cash is particularly hard hit with a decrease of 1.98 percent to 612.08 US dollars. Ripple drops 1.23 percent to 3.04 US dollars, Dash falls by 1.64 percent to 23.97 US dollars.

Even smaller coins like Cardano (-1.76 percent to 0.9087 US dollars) or IOTA (-1.77 percent to 0.1922 US dollars) tend weaker. Stellar is also 1.13 percent lower at 0.392 US dollars, while NEO (6.77 US dollars) and NEM (0.0023 US dollars) are almost moving sideways. Verge remains at 0.0059 US dollars.

Monero as a Ray of Hope

The only clear winner in the morning is Monero: The cryptocurrency rises by 1.33 percent to 303.17 US dollars, defying the weak overall market.

Friday begins with a cautious mood in the crypto market – the leading currency Bitcoin remains stable, while many altcoins lose significantly.
