Ethereum: Standard Chartered Raises Price Target to $25,000 by 2028
Ethereum is experiencing a comeback: While Bitcoin has long been celebrating new records, the second-largest cryptocurrency is now coming into focus as well. Standard Chartered sees enormous potential and is banking on a price multiplication by 2028.
The British major bank Standard Chartered is more optimistic than ever about Ethereum. After years of cautious forecasts, the analysts now believe the cryptocurrency could rally to $25,000 in the next three years.
The price target for 2025 has already been raised from the previous $4,000 to $7,500. Experts expect $12,000 for 2026, even $18,000 for 2027 – and a possible increase to $25,000 by 2028.
The bullish assessment is justified by growing institutional demand, regulatory advancements in the US, and Ethereum's technical roadmap. The recently passed GENIUS Act on stablecoins is considered a key driver, as Ethereum, with over 50% market share, is the most important network for stablecoin transactions.
